The charming 1924 beach house is located in what is known as Ocean View/Willoughby in Norfolk, VA. It is directly beach-front on the Chesapeake Bay. You will be steps from the practically private beach right out the back door. We provide practically everything you need for a easy stay. All linens, towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, kayaks and paddle boards plus more. This house is located approximately about 750 feet from the longest free standing fishing pier in America! Bring your rods and crab pots (we provide a few). The pier also rents them. The pier has a roof-top restaurant as well as an indoor restaurant. Also within walking distance is the Thirsty Camel (restaurant) Note this restaurant just had a fire - closed for now. This house is also located very close to the Granby Street restaurant section of Norfolk with many fine restaurants and attractions. We've recently added a double deck on the beach-side of the house for fantastic views of the Bay. Pictures to come. Access to the top deck from the master bedroom and stairs on the side of the house. The lower deck includes a dining table and a hammock. The interior has recently been repainted, new floor in the kitchen, new floors in bathrooms along with vanities. New pics to come soon. The main house includes 3 bedrooms. The master has a memory foam king bed with a majestic view of the bay, pier and Hampton Roads bridge tunnel at night, along with a daily changing view of the ships passing in the Bay. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has a full and twin bunk bed. Cable televisions in living room and all 3 bedrooms. All linens provided. Washer and dryer. The main house has 2.5 bathrooms. Downstairs there is a Jacuzzi bath tub along with a stand up shower. The bath upstairs has a old time tub with shower head. The cottage behind the main house has a small kitchen, living room, a queen bed in the bedroom and pull out single sofa bed. Cable TV and internet in both the bedroom and living room. There is a bathroom with a stand-up shower off the bedroom. Linens provided. To rent this also, an additional fee of $25 per day will be added to the price listed plus an $80 cleaning fee. With the house and the cottage, this rental sleeps 10. With the house only it sleeps 7. Any use of the residence in excess of stated number of renters and their guests will be cause to retain security deposit. Parking for 4 to 5 cars off-street. Some of the original plumbing fixtures remain, working fine, but aged. The original wood floors can creak from time to time and the sand has a way of working itself in through the many crevices that open and close with the humidity of the bay. Some of the doors and windows may not open with ease as they suffer from the same malady. My family loves the rustic character of our older beach front cottage and we hope you will too. You can see the water from the porch, sitting room and the main living area of this very cool beach front property. It has a very large screened in porch for grilling out and socializing. We recently installed a 50" Smart TV and WiFi. As this is a residential area, we ask that our guests be respectful of the neighbors by keeping noise levels to a minimum. With a private entrance an private off street parking we are proud to offer this to anyone travelling light who does not need an abundance of space. We have added a "sleeper sofa" for additional capacity. As is usual with these type of "beds" they are probably less comfortable than a normal bed and are more appropriate for kids.

Welcome to our Rustic Beach Front Apartment. This unique space has been carved out of the basement of our 100+ year old beach cottage. It has just undergone a complete interior rehab - brand new carpets and interior paint, new Linoleum in the bathrooms and kitchen. I think it is the best location in Ocean View - the beaches, although not quite private, are fantastic! It consists of 2 Bedroom and 1 1/2 Bath and is accurately described as a basement apartment, inside a beautiful rustic beach cottage. It has it's own private entrance and parking. The windows are the smaller casement style, that contain 3 air conditioning units. You must be able to step down into the unit by descending 3 stairs. Beware, if you are over 6' tall - no jumping allowed!! - there are radiator pipes running along the ceilings that are typical of this type of basement apartment. If you are tall, bring a hardhat!! And if you've ever played basketball in the NBA, this may not be the right place for you!! We are situated directly on the water, just walk out your door and you are right on the beach of the beautiful Chesapeake Bay! I want to temper your expectations with this unit. It is over 100 years old and while I love it, it may not be for everyone as the appliances and plumbing fixtures are a bit dated. This is an apartment that has been created out of a basement space. It is clean and comfortable and of course, on the beach. The ceilings are low and the windows are small. We have done our best to create a comfortable space for you and your family to enjoy! The emphasis though, should be on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Beach and being able to enjoy it while staying in a beach front unit.

This is a large roomy home. A bit rustic, but pet friendly and WATERFRONT!! We offer 4 bedrooms, 2 Living Rooms - one for adults and one for the kids! Both with Large Smart TV's for your relaxing entertainment.  We have a large fully stocked kitchen with a pass thru to the living area. A new grocery store, Harris Teeter, is just about 2 blocks away. This modern home also has the following: Garbage Disposal, Dishwasher, Microwave, Full size refrigerator, and central heat/AC. All the comforts needed! We have a fenced in yard, where you can let the little ones run and play. ** If you are local, you must book for a minimum of 3 days and pay a $500 security deposit. We are offering our unique and rustic historic carriage house. Built in the early 1900's and the home of one of the early ice delivery businesses in the Historic Ocean View section of Norfolk, on the Chesapeake Bay. Our unique bungalow is a 2 to 3 minute walk to the beautiful, wide and expansive beaches of the Bay. These beaches are perfect for little children as the waves usually are very small and the water is very shallow. The fishing in this area is very good from the surf as well. Our unit is very nicely decorated and is perfect for a small family. It can also accommodate some larger groups. We have off street parking available for two vehicles. We have a fenced in grassy yard area that is perfect for walking dogs or allowing them some room to walk and play. Our main bedroom which opens to the bathroom, contains a very comfortable queen size bed. The second bedroom has two very comfortable twin beds. We have a large living room that has a gas fireplace for beauty as well as heat in the colder months. Included is WiFi and a 55" Smart TV. We also have a futon that opens to a full size bed and can easily accommodate two little people. The unit can handle six people easily. There is one bathroom with a small shower that may be difficult for larger people to negotiate. We have an outdoor patio for leisure to enjoy the very pretty outdoors along with nice shade. Our condo is a two master suite condo with an outdoor deck overlooking a small pond with a large fountain. We have a full kitchen with full-size appliances, a large dining table that seats up to six to eight easily. The comfortable couch pulls out into a sleeper sofa and we have a chaise lounge chair that doubles as a bed if necessary. We offer free Wi-Fi and the Internet.
